About Role
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will take ownership of in-house service mesh architecture, building scalable abstractions for load balancing, routing, traffic shaping, serialization, and caching to support Amazon's critical business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement in-house service mesh architecture for centralized traffic management.
- Build and operate large-scale systems in multi-tiered, distributed environments.
- Ensure consistency with Amazon best practices for SOA, security, and reliability.
- Collaborate with teams across Amazon to enhance developer productivity and system performance.
Requirements
- 10+ years non-internship professional software development experience.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing and building large-scale systems in multi-tiered, distributed environments (Service Oriented Architecture).
Salary Range
$180,100 to $311,200 per year based on location
