About Role

The Software Development Engineer III will lead design, architecture, and operations of distributed systems for Prime Video. The role includes mentoring, technical leadership, and driving system reliability and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of new and existing distributed systems.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable software systems for Prime Video.
• Mentor engineers and lead engineering teams to drive technical excellence.
• Participate in full SDLC including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years programming experience in at least one language.
• 5+ years leading design or architecture of complex systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with full software development lifecycle including code reviews, build processes, testing, and operations.
