About Role

The Software Development Engineer will design and implement high-quality software for Alexa+ on Echo and other devices, contribute to architecture and design discussions, drive engineering best practices, mentor colleagues, and ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Build software running on millions of Echo family and Alexa-enabled devices using fast-moving technologies including LLM.
• Take long-term view of architecture, fixing deficiencies and proposing larger projects.
• Understand business impact of systems and make technical trade-offs.
• Drive engineering best practices (Operational Excellence, Security, Quality).
• Influence others to follow best paths and build consensus.
• Contribute to professional development of colleagues.

Requirements

• 3+ years non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years non-internship design or architecture experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software language.

Preferred Qualifications

• Full software development life cycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Salary Range

$129,300 to $223,600 per year based on location
