About Role
Responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing Windows Server OS environments and layered applications, ensuring security, performance, and compliance with US Government standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full lifecycle of Windows Server OS environments, including installation, configuration, patching, tuning, and security hardening
- Deploy, configure, and maintain layered applications such as middleware (.NET, IIS), enterprise software (AD, Exchange, SQL Server), and security tools
- Implement automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or VBS to streamline OS and application management
- Apply security best practices including patch management, vulnerability scanning, and access control
- Conduct performance monitoring and tuning to ensure responsiveness and minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot complex OS and application-level issues and collaborate cross-functionally
- Develop and maintain documentation for configurations and integrations
- Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure compliance and optimal performance
Key Skills
- Deep expertise with Windows Server (Win2k19/Win2k22)
- Strong knowledge of layered applications and middleware
- Advanced automation scripting skills (PowerShell/VBS/Python)
- Security principles and best practices for OS and applications
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- US citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Government TS Security Clearance and SCI access
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or STEM field
- 3+ years of experience in Windows Server infrastructure and layered applications
- 5+ years of Windows Server experience
- Experience with security standards and compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS)
- Automation and scripting expertise
- Advanced troubleshooting across OS, middleware, and enterprise applications
