About Role

The Jetty Officer will be responsible for supervising jetty operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant cargo handling at the berth. This includes overseeing mooring and unmooring, coordinating with pilots, managing loading arms, conducting safety checks, and maintaining operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise jetty crew during safe mooring and unmooring operations at berths.
  • Coordinate with pilot to align vessel with the loading arm during berthing.
  • Connect, disconnect, and drain the load arm before and after cargo operations.
  • Perform ship-shore safety checklist and conduct periodic safety checks during cargo operations.
  • Test jetty equipment periodically and maintain accurate records of inspections.
  • Issue work permits and ensure adherence to safety and operational conditions.
  • Raise SAP notifications for equipment defects and coordinate repairs.
  • Conduct tool box talks with jetty crew and contractor personnel.
  • Carry out bunker checks for crafts and ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards at the berths.
