This scholarship is provided irrespective of income and caste, focusing purely on uplifting the children of workers involved in unclean occupations. The assistance is aimed at reducing dropout rates and promoting inclusive education for marginalized families across Puducherry.
Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicant must belong to the **Scheduled Caste** category.
- Applicant must be a **student studying in Class 1 to Class 10**.
- Applicant must be a **native/resident of the Union Territory of Puducherry**.
- Either or both parents of the applicant should be engaged in **unclean occupations** (Scavenger, Flayer, or Tanner).

- Provides **₹1850 per annum** as financial assistance to eligible students.

Application Process
Offline Application Process:
Step 1: Visit the Office or Sub-Office of the **Adi Dravidar Welfare and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Department** during office hours.
Step 2: Request the hard copy of the prescribed **application form** from the authorized staff.
Step 3: Fill in all mandatory fields, paste a passport-sized photograph, and attach copies of required documents (self-attested if necessary).
Step 4: Submit the duly filled form to the concerned authority.
Step 5: Obtain a **receipt or acknowledgment** containing submission date, time, and unique identification number (if applicable).

Documents Required:
1️⃣ Residence-cum-Nativity Certificate issued by a competent authority.
2️⃣ Recent Passport-size Photograph.
3️⃣ Aadhaar Card.
4️⃣ Bank Passbook.
5️⃣ Certificate of Unclean Occupation obtained from the employer of the parent(s).
6️⃣ Educational Certificates.
🔸 In case of absence of Aadhaar Card, Aadhaar Enrolment ID along with any one of the following is required:
- Bank/Post Office Passbook with Photo
- PAN Card
- Passport
- Ration Card
- Voter ID Card
- MGNREGA Card
- Kisan Photo Passbook
- Driving License
- Certificate of Identity issued by a Gazetted Officer/Tehsildar
- Any other valid document as specified by the Department.
