About Scheme

Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY Mukhmantri Sehat Bima Yojana (AB PM-JAY MMSBY), launched on 20 August 2019, is a flagship State Health Insurance Scheme for beneficiaries in Punjab. The scheme provides entitlement-based cashless health insurance coverage for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization at government and empaneled private hospitals.

AB PM-JAY MMSBY covers 65% of Punjab's population, offering cashless treatment for listed diseases and medical conditions. The scheme provides financial protection with a health insurance limit of ₹5,00,000/- per family per year. Beneficiaries can generate e-cards online via the Ayushman App or the official portal, and treatment is available without paperwork at participating hospitals. Eligible categories include SECC 2011 families, Smart Ration Card holders, J-Form farmers, small traders registered with Excise & Taxation, small & marginal farmers, accredited & yellow card journalists, and construction workers registered with the Punjab Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

Step 1: Download the Ayushman App on mobile or visit https://beneficiary.nha.gov.in/ to self-register.
Step 2: Visit any empaneled public or private hospital for e-card generation. Lists of hospitals https://sha.punjab.gov.in/shapb/publicPages/hospSpltyView are available on the SHA website.
