About Scheme
PMMY is a flagship scheme facilitating micro credit/loans up to Rs. 20 lakhs to income-generating micro enterprises in the non-farm sector, including activities allied to agriculture such as poultry, dairy, and beekeeping.
Details
Loans are provided through Member Lending Institutions (MLIs) including public/private sector banks, cooperative banks, MFIs, NBFCs, and Small Finance Banks. The scheme has four categories: Shishu, Kishore, Tarun, and Tarun Plus based on loan size and enterprise stage.

Eligibility
Eligible borrowers include Individuals, Proprietary concerns, Partnership Firms, Private Ltd. Companies, Public Companies, and other legal entities. Must have satisfactory credit history and relevant skills/experience.
Benefits
Loans categorized as: Shishu (up to ₹50,000), Kishore (₹50,001–₹5 lakh), Tarun (₹5,00,001–₹10 lakh), Tarun Plus (up to ₹20 lakh).
Application Process
Online: Apply via PMMY official website/Udyamimitra portal https://udyamimitra.in/. Register as New/Existing Entrepreneur or Self-employed Professional, fill personal, business, and financial details, select loan category, attach required documents, and submit application to generate Application Number.
Documents Required
For Shishu Loan: Proof of Identity, Address Proof, Applicant Photo, Quotation of Machinery/Items, Proof of Business Identity/Address. For Kishore/Tarun/Tarun Plus: ID Proof, Address Proof, Applicant Photo, Business licenses/registration, Bank statements, Balance sheets, Project report, Memorandum/Articles of Association, Asset & Liability statement.
