100 fellowships are awarded annually. The program emphasizes mentorship, exposure to industry, and innovation-driven research with potential for patents, licenses, and new products/processes.

Eligibility
Indian nationals, full-time PhD scholars in recognized Indian universities/institutes/labs, with PhD registration not exceeding 14 months from application date, having a valid industry partner willing to support the research.
Benefits
Full-time PhD scholars receive double the JRF/SRF fellowship amount. Half of the fellowship comes from the government and the other half from the partner company.
Application Process
Online: Register at https://www.primeministerfellowshipscheme.in or https://www.serbficci-iirrada.in. Prepare application as per guidelines, tie up with an industry partner, upload documents, and submit application online. No physical copies are required.
Documents Required
Recent passport size photo, PhD enrolment & registration certificate, 10th/12th/graduation/post-graduation certificates, other degrees/diplomas, host institute profile, PhD supervisor bio-data, partner company profile, industry mentor bio-data, undertakings from supervisor and industry partner, letter from industry partner, publications, research synopsis, any other required documents.
