About Scheme
The Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme provides internship opportunities to youth in top companies across India, offering exposure to real-life business environments for skill development and employability enhancement.
Details
Internships are for 12 months with at least half the duration spent in actual working experience. The scheme is independent of existing government skill development, apprenticeship, or student training schemes. It aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.

Eligibility
Candidates must be Indian nationals, aged 21–24 years, not employed full-time, and not enrolled in full-time education. Eligible candidates include high school graduates, ITI certificate holders, polytechnic diploma holders, or graduates with degrees such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, etc. Family income must not exceed ₹8,00,000 per year.
Benefits
12 months real-life experience in top companies; Monthly assistance ₹4,500 by Government of India + ₹500 by Industry; One-time grant of ₹6,000 for incidentals; Insurance coverage under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
Application Process
Online: Register on the official PM Internship Scheme portal https://pminternship.mca.gov.in/login/. Complete e-KYC using DigiLocker/Aadhaar. Fill personal, education, bank, and skill details; upload certificates. Apply for internships, track application status, and accept offers via the portal.
