About Scheme

The scheme aims to provide touch phones to hearing challenged and speech-impaired individuals who can communicate via sign language. Implemented under the Action Plan 2017-18 of the A.P. Differently Abled & Senior Citizens Assistance Corporation, the devices are distributed through district-level officers to support communication needs.

• • Empower hearing challenged & speech-impaired individuals.
• • Provide touch phones to enable communication using sign language.
• • Support access to Video Relay Services (VRS).

Details

The scheme provides touch phones based on family income. Category I beneficiaries (income up to ₹15,000/month) receive the phone at full cost. Category II (₹15,001–20,000) receive 50% cost assistance. Category III (above ₹20,000) must bear full cost. Distribution is conducted through Assistant Directors and District Managers of the corporation.

Eligibility

• Applicant must be 18 years or above.
• Must be hearing challenged and speech impaired.
• Should know sign language to communicate with others.
• Should be able to use Video Relay Service (VRS).
• Must be a Student / Self-Employed / Unemployed.

Benefits

• Distribution of touch phones.
• Category I: Income up to ₹15,000/month → Full cost covered.
• Category II: ₹15,001–₹20,000/month → 50% cost covered.
• Category III: Above ₹20,000/month → Full cost borne by beneficiary.

Application Process

**Application Process (Online):**
1️⃣ Visit the official website https://apdascac.ap.gov.in/ .
2️⃣ Click on “Online Applications”.
3️⃣ Select “Click here to apply for differently abled schemes”.
4️⃣ Choose the scheme name and click “Apply Online”.
5️⃣ Confirm registration.

**If not registered:**
6️⃣ Select “No” for “Are you registered already?”.
7️⃣ Enter Aadhaar name, Aadhaar number, mobile, email.
8️⃣ Create a new password.
9️⃣ Submit to get registration number.

**If already registered:**
🔟 Click “Login”.
11️⃣ Select “Yes” for registered user.
12️⃣ Enter mobile/email and password.
13️⃣ Select category again.
14️⃣ Fill out application form with personal & disability details.
15️⃣ Click “Submit”.

• Self-declaration (not received phone earlier).
• Income Certificate.
• SADAREM/Disability Certificate.
• Aadhaar Card.
• Mobile Number.
